Las Vegas · Mobile Pre-Purchase Inspections

Buying a used car in Las Vegas? Know what you’re buying before you pay.

Get a buyer-focused mobile pre-purchase inspection performed personally by AutoClarity founder and lead technician Faheb Brown — an automotive technician with more than 11 years of hands-on experience working on everyday, European, luxury, exotic, and performance vehicles.

  • Mobile — we come to the vehicle
  • Performed personally by the founder
  • Photos, findings & a clear recommendation
Proceed Negotiate / Repair First Do Not Proceed

Every inspection ends with clear written guidance — not a sales pitch. No inspection can find every possible defect, and a PPI is not a warranty.

Why AutoClarity

An experienced technician in your corner — not the seller’s

  • 11+ years hands-on

More than 11 years of professional automotive experience across everyday, European, luxury, exotic and high-performance vehicles.

  • Independent & buyer-focused

AutoClarity works for you, the buyer. Findings are reported to you alone — never negotiated with or softened for the seller.

  • Photos and written findings

Clear photographs of meaningful findings with written recommendations in plain English, so you can decide with confidence.

  • No repair upsell

The inspection is the product. There is no repair shop behind it trying to sell you the work it “finds.”

How it works

From listing to clear answer

  1. Submit the vehicle and location. Tell us what you’re looking at and where it is — it takes a few minutes.
  2. AutoClarity reviews the request. Vehicle, location and seller access are checked personally before scheduling details are sent.
  3. Receive your exact price and available times. AutoClarity reviews and approves the quote before it is sent, and the full price is shown before you commit to anything.
  4. Confirm the quote and scheduling details. Submitting is free. If online payment is unavailable, contact AutoClarity to finish scheduling; the request itself does not confirm an appointment.
  5. The technician inspects the vehicle. At the dealership or seller’s location, including a road test where permitted and safe.
  6. Receive your written results. Findings, photos, repair priorities, and a clear Proceed / Negotiate / Do Not Proceed recommendation.

Submitting the form doesn’t guarantee an appointment: your request is confirmed once it’s been reviewed, the seller permits access, a time is confirmed, and any required payment is complete.

Scope

Comprehensive Multi-Point Pre-Purchase Inspection

Everything below is covered where the vehicle, location and seller access allow.

Identity & body

  • Vehicle identity and VIN comparison
  • Exterior body condition
  • Signs of previous paint or collision repair where observable
  • Glass, lamps and exterior equipment

Interior & electronics

  • Interior condition and electronics
  • Instrument cluster and warning lights
  • Heating and air conditioning

Engine & driveline

  • Engine operation
  • Fluid levels and visible fluid condition
  • Visible leaks
  • Cooling system
  • Transmission operation
  • Battery and charging system

Chassis & tires

  • Steering and suspension
  • Brakes where visible and accessible
  • Tires, tread and approximate tire age
  • Underbody review where safe, legal and physically accessible

Road test & warning-light review

  • Road test when authorized and safe
  • Warning-light review and documentation of any lights present

Your written results

  • Photographs of meaningful findings
  • Immediate safety concerns
  • Repair priorities and estimated repair-cost ranges where appropriate
  • Overall 1–10 condition score
  • Proceed, Negotiate/Repair First, or Do Not Proceed recommendation

Underbody access depends on the location, seller permission, ground conditions, vehicle clearance and available equipment. If deeper access is appropriate, a suitable facility may need to be arranged in advance and separately confirmed in the quote. Not every vehicle can be lifted, and no inspection can promise to find every defect.

See what you receive

A clear, written report — not a verbal “looks fine”

Every inspection is documented like the sample below, with photos, findings, repair priorities, and a straight recommendation.

The sample walks through a demo 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (fictional VIN and mileage) so you can see exactly what your report covers — overall condition score, safety concerns, major and moderate findings, tire and brake notes, road-test observations, estimated repair-cost ranges, and negotiation considerations.

Pricing

Straightforward pricing by vehicle complexity

The right package depends on the vehicle’s complexity — not its price tag. Your exact quote is confirmed after AutoClarity reviews the specific vehicle, location and scope.

Standard Vehicle PPI

Starting at $199

Common unmodified domestic, Japanese and Korean passenger vehicles and light trucks.

European, Luxury or Performance PPI

Starting at $299

Examples include Corvette, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Land Rover, Porsche — and other luxury or higher-complexity vehicles.

Exotic, Collector or Heavily Modified PPI

Starting at $399

Final quote required after reviewing the exact vehicle, location and inspection scope.

Package is chosen by vehicle complexity — make, model, trim, age, modifications and risk — not by the car’s price. Your exact total is always shown before you pay. Salvage, rebuilt, flood, imported, classic, non-running or heavily modified vehicles are reviewed individually.

App subscriptions do not include an in-person inspection. The AutoClarity app subscription (informational symptom guidance, billed separately by Apple) is a separate product. Las Vegas PPI services are separately scheduled and priced physical services — you do not need the app to request one. Submitting is free. After review, AutoClarity confirms the exact quote and timing. If online payment is unavailable, contact AutoClarity to complete scheduling.

FAQ

Common questions

Does the AutoClarity app subscription include an in-person inspection?

No. The AutoClarity iPhone app is a separately priced informational symptom-guidance product. A Las Vegas pre-purchase inspection is a separately requested, quoted, scheduled, and paid physical service.

How long does an inspection take?

On-site time varies with the vehicle, confirmed scope, condition, location, and access. Your approved quote and scheduling details set expectations before the appointment, and written results require preparation afterward.

Does the vehicle have to be at a dealership?

No. AutoClarity is mobile and inspects at dealerships, private sellers’ locations, or anywhere in the service area with safe access and seller permission.

Do I need the seller’s permission?

Yes. The seller controls access to the vehicle. Confirm that they allow an independent inspection before booking to avoid a wasted trip.

Is a road test guaranteed?

No — a road test happens when the seller permits it, the vehicle appears safe to drive, and it’s lawful at that location. If it isn’t possible, your results say so clearly.

Will the vehicle be lifted?

Not always. Underbody access depends on the location, permission, ground conditions, clearance and equipment. If deeper access is appropriate, a suitable facility may need to be arranged in advance and separately confirmed in the quote.

Will AutoClarity negotiate with the seller for me?

No. You get independent findings and clear repair priorities you can use to negotiate yourself. Findings are never shared with the seller without your say-so.

Does the inspection guarantee the vehicle?

No. A PPI is a professional opinion about the vehicle’s observable condition at the time of inspection — not a warranty. Hidden or intermittent problems may not be detectable, but you’ll know far more than you would from a test drive alone.

What if the vehicle sells before my appointment?

You may transfer the inspection to one replacement vehicle with no transfer fee. AutoClarity re-reviews the replacement vehicle, location, scope and seller access and sends an updated approved quote. If the total is higher, you pay the difference before the replacement booking is confirmed; if it is lower, AutoClarity refunds the difference; and if it is the same, your existing payment transfers with no additional charge. Details are in the cancellation policy shown before you pay.

What if the seller refuses access?

If access is refused before travel begins, you can reschedule for free or make one vehicle transfer with no transfer fee. A replacement vehicle is re-reviewed and repriced, with any difference collected or refunded as described in the cancellation policy shown before you pay. If access is refused after the technician is already en route, only a separately disclosed travel or mobile-service charge in your approved quote may be retained.

When do I pay?

Submitting is free. After review, AutoClarity confirms your exact quote and available timing. If online payment is unavailable, contact AutoClarity to complete scheduling.

What areas do you serve?

Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City requests are each subject to review. From the central Las Vegas service area, 0–15 miles is included, 16–25 miles adds $25, 26–40 miles adds $50, and locations beyond 40 miles are individually reviewed.

What exactly do I receive?

Written findings with photographs, immediate safety concerns, repair priorities with estimated cost ranges where appropriate, an overall 1–10 condition score, and a clear Proceed / Negotiate–Repair First / Do Not Proceed recommendation.

Do I need the VIN to request an inspection?

No — you can submit without it. Share the VIN with AutoClarity before the inspection when it becomes available so the stored request matches the vehicle presented.

Is the service available outside Las Vegas?

The in-person inspection service currently covers the listed Las Vegas-area locations only, subject to review. The symptom-guidance product is a separate iPhone app; Apple controls App Store availability for each storefront.
